The two hundred batch

Two hundred units is a small number for a skincare brand. It is also the largest quantity we can fill, label and date in a single day without splitting a batch across two sessions.

Why the size matters

Preservative systems are tested, but time is still the enemy of a short ingredient list. A formula that sits in a warehouse for eight months is a different product from one filled six weeks ago. Small batches keep the gap between filling and use short.

• Every bottle carries a four-digit batch number and a fill date.
• Nothing is made to forecast — we fill when stock runs low.
• If a raw material changes, the change is visible in one batch, not buried in a year of inventory.

What it costs

Things sell out. A batch of Nine Days takes about five weeks to move in winter and we cannot compress the fill schedule to catch up. We would rather be out of stock than sitting on old cream.
